When I read that, I sat back for a while and thought, wow, how did this little dog, your best friend, lead you over all those mountains. I teared up, couldn't help myself. The mountains were his medicine...kept him going...giving him more strength each day. He continued to lead you despite the fact he was not 100%. Then when he was given back the gift of sight...all I can say is...thank God. He had incredible support. Had I known you and Atticus back then, I would have been one of those people included in the "Friends of Atticus" (I am one now and will always be one.). What's so amazing is...he was the teacher and you were the student.
