Following Atticus: Forty-Eight High Peaks, One Little Dog, and an Extraordinary Friendship by Tom Ryan is published by William Morrow. It tells the story of my adventures with Atticus M. Finch, a little dog of some distinction. You can also find our column in the NorthCountry News.

Couple random thoughts from an exhausted litigator: (notice the disclaimer?)

1. Tom, it is quite apparent that "they" are the ones that do not fit in...have you lost your mind, man?

2. If only people would listen, Atticus has much to teach about the power of silence.

3. Lastly, Atticus brings to mind the old song...

The minute you walked in the joint, I could see you were a dog of "distinktion, a real big spender, good looking, so refined..."

Sorry, about the stinky part, Atticus. Just too easy.
