The Gift of Snow
...makes old souls feel young again through the power of enchantment.
Hello Tom and Atticus, I am about to begin chapter 10 in "following atticus." What an amazing book and the two hikers are amazing, as well! It is so heart warming and comforting to read about a man and a dog who seem or really do understand one another. Makes me feel a little more sane and validates my love for Otis.
I have recently retired and moved to Madison, Wisconsin with my favorite little man, Otis. He rescued me three years ago. He is a Bichon/Frieze/Poodle mix, with a blind right eye, several issues... one being "bone aggression." Otis is my buddy and we have many adventures together... I don't see me climbing mountains with the little guy but certainly enjoy reading about your adventures!! I feel daring when I allow Otis to be "off leash" for a while!! I am afraid I will be jailed or get a ticket or worse loose my little man because it's a law to have your dog on a lease!!
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book this week... I can't wait to read more.. but I also don't want it to end.
Thank you for your honesty and ability to speak of your life as you see it! Most of us, if we are to honest, have some "issues" from our early years. No family is as perfect as they want the rest of us to believe! Take care, Tom. Give Atticus a little tummy rub for Otis and me.
