Don't look now, but the fellow who sold his political newspaper and moved north to the mountains with his little dog is back at it again. Writing in a newspaper, that is. But this time I'm not writing about political favors doled out by mayors, police detectives hooked on cockfighting or women's lingerie, or controversial and mysogonistic boards of directors of various Newburyport institutions. Instead I'm now writing about the White Mountains, specifically our Winter Quest to raise money for Angell Animal Medical Center. No stress there. No death threats either. It's an entirely different style of writing...thank goodness! My column will be appearing every two weeks in the North Country News and run the length of the winter.
