Following Atticus: Forty-Eight High Peaks, One Little Dog, and an Extraordinary Friendship by Tom Ryan is published by William Morrow. It tells the story of my adventures with Atticus M. Finch, a little dog of some distinction. You can also find our column in the NorthCountry News.

The Delightful Dozen

Winter is less than four days away and our push will begin on Saturday morning. Your push is on now. We have a dozen peaks left looking for dedications on round one. This morning Passaconaway was the last to go, and yesterday Osceola, Galehead and Carrigain were all dedicated. We're getting close to the goal of having each of the first round of 4,000-footers dedicated to a loved pet before winter begins on Saturday. The following peaks remain open for dedication:
Carter Dome (It has now been taken.)
South Carter
Middle Carter
Cabot
North Twin
South Twin
Waumbek
East Osceola
North Tripyramid
Field
Zealand (It has now been taken)
Jackson (It has now been taken)

To dedicate one of these peaks in honor of a pet you love or have loved (doesn't even have to be yours)
click here. (And feel free to forward this to any pet lovers you know, or businesses that would enjoy corporate sponsorship and lots of attention from animal lovers around the country.)
